

Mary Kay (Finks) Peckham, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her devotion to those she loved, and her remarkable spirit that touched everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by father William Finks, mother Ruby Finks Jewell, sister Patricia (David) Thom, sister Marlene (Richard) Pawlik and significant other Thomas Sullivan.
She is survived by: daughters, Jamie (John) Petree, Laurie (Jason) Martin and their father James (Donna) Peckham; Step children, Stacie (Mike) Martin and Dennis (Chrissy) Sullivan; Grandchildren, Taylor (Tyler), Zachary, Emily, Kayla, Amber, Andrea, Katherine, Cleo, Aiden; and several great grandchildren; nieces and nephew, Jennifer Thom, Brian (Amy) Thom, and their children Tyler, Madison, Laykin and Avarie.
Mary Kay cherished her family above all else, finding her greatest joy in time spent with her loved ones. She also had a gift for creating beauty around her. Whether decorating her home, tending her garden, or preparing for the holidays, she poured her heart into everything she did. Christmas was her favorite season, and she delighted in filling her home with warmth, light, and festive cheer for all to enjoy.
Alongside her love for family and home, Mary Kay built a distinguished career in public service. She dedicated many years to the Ohio Statehouse and Ohio House of Representatives, where she served with integrity and professionalism. Her career included supporting Speaker Joanne Davidson, Senator Anthony Sinagra, and Representative Lou Blessing. She was deeply respected by colleagues and leaders alike for her commitment and steady presence.
Mary Kay’s life was defined by love, service, and beauty. Her legacy will live on in the family traditions she nurtured, the countless lives she touched, and the memories cherished by all who were fortunate to know her.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered with love.
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4–7PM
Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at Mifflin Cemetery. There will be a reception back at the funeral home immediately after the burial from 11:30-1PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ECHO Hospice and/or to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mary Kay's honor.
