Mary Stefanov

Mary Stefanov, age 90, formerly of Rugby Lane, Gahanna, died Thursday morning, October 1, 2026, at her residence at Taylor Springs Health Campus. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stefanov, in 2023.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bradley D. and Dawn E. Stefanov, Gahanna; and many nieces and nephews.

The last surviving child of seven, she was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary (Pecylak) Feciuch; and by her brothers and sisters, Paul, Helen, Steve, Joe, Ann, and Nick.

She retired as a Secretary with PHP Insurance. Wonderful memories and experiences included being named Miss General Tire and Miss Akron in 1953, going on to place third in the Miss Ohio pageant. Mary was very good at sports and loved bowling and playing golf, a sport in which she almost went professional.

Private interment will take place in Mifflin Cemetery, where she and Donald will be laid to rest together in view of where they lived for many years.
