Matt Burford

Matthew “Matt” Burford, 31, passed away after a lifetime battle with poor health on October 12, 2024. Matt was born to Brian and Karen (Davis) Burford on November 4, 1992 in Columbus, OH. Despite health issues, as a child Matt enjoyed tennis, hockey, snow skiing, and participating in summer camps. Throughout his life, he frequently critiqued movies and kept lists of thousands of his ratings. He also loved reading books, listening to music, and cooking. Above all, Matt was always eager to engage in a good debate of any kind. Matt played many computer games and role playing games, and the friendships he made from these activities were dear to him.

Matt is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Burford; his grandmother, Lois Burford; and by his beloved service dog, Bree.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Brian and Karen Burford; his sister, Kate Burford; grandparents Donald and Patricia Davis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home.

Services held for Matt will be private.
