Mike graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School class of 1973. For 30 years, he proudly served as the Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 98. He was awarded the Silver Beaver award, the highest honor in scout leadership. He was also a faithful member of Stonybrook United Methodist Church where he served in many ministries and committees. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors including gardening, golf, and shooting sports.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (Stedman) Sheldon; sons, Brian (Jennifer) Sheldon and Jason (Amanda) Sheldon; grandchildren, Noah Sheldon and Hannah Sheldon; uncle, Bob Sheldon; and nieces, Stephine, Rebecca, Karyn, and Mandy; and many cousins. He will be missed greatly by “the Usual Suspects”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Juanita (Galloway) Sheldon and brother, Paul Sheldon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 98 or Stonybrook United Methodist Church.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, 485 Cherry Bottom Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230.
