Michele was born in Erie, PA on November 20, 1955. She graduated from Seneca High School in Wattsburg, PA and continued her education at Hamot Medical Center School of Nursing in Erie, PA (RN), Cedarville University (BA) and Otterbein University in Westerville, OH (BSN, MSN, DNP).
Michele was married to John Rupert Morgan on December 17, 1976. They were married for 48 years. Michele served as a missionary with ABWE International for 42 years as a medical missionary in Togo, Africa, as a pastor’s wife in New Albany, OH, and as the International Director of Healthcare Outreach. In that role she led 31 medical mission trips to 16 countries where she and her medical teams provided free medical service to underserved communities. She partnered with local churches, providing medical clinics. Every patient received medical care and heard the gospel. Many of the local churches, where she and her teams served, grew as a result of these evangelistic medical clinics. This was her greatest passion.
Michele is survived by her husband John Rupert Morgan; her children, Sean (Brittany) Morgan, Jason (Kasey) Morgan, Dani Rae (Stephen) Strohminger; grandchildren Kasen Kennedy, Adalynn Morgan, Dexter and Hayden Morgan, Graeme and Maeve Strohminger; brothers Matthew (Carrie) Meeker, and Nathan (Lori) Meeker; sister Renee (Ron) Thomas and many nieces and nephews.
