

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Letha (Swain) Ball; husband, J. Ambrose Towers; brother, Swain (Bud) Ball; sisters, Dorsie Anderson, Maridell Hoppes, Annabelle Smurr, Lucille Bradburn, Vera Falter and Eldora Hayman.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and David Rivers; beloved grandchildren, Stephen (Megan) Rivers and Lauren Rivers; great-grandchildren, Harper, Riley and Emerson Rivers; brother, Ray (Carol) Ball; brother-in-law, Luther (Gloria) Towers; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews and friends.
Naomi was a 1952 graduate of Columbus South High School. She was also a graduate of the Northwestern School of Management. Naomi had a rewarding 36 year career with the American Red Cross of Central Ohio Blood and Chapter Services. She loved her work and especially the volunteers and staff. Naomi was a 60 year member of St. Philip Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served in numerous capacities including the first female Church Council President. She was a former member of the Columbus Rotary Club and the Metropolitan Club. Naomi was a volunteer for the Women’s Health Initiative, Red Cross blood donor and other charitable organizations. She was an avid Ohio State University football and Cleveland Browns fan. Naomi dearly loved her family and treasured her friends.
Visitation will be from 10AM - 11:30AM on January 27, 2024 at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43230.The funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 11:30am, officiated by Pastor Orinda Hawkins-Brinkley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, Central Ohio Chapter, 995 E. Broad St. 43205 in Naomi’s memory.
