She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Rick DeMott; daughter and son-in-law, Charla and Jason Sedziol, Pataskala; two grandchildren who were her pride and joy and lights in her eyes, Tyler and Sydney; sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Frank Vingia, Bellaire, OH.
A member of First Baptist Church, Martins Ferry, she worked in Student Accounts for Wheeling University (formerly Wheeling Jesuit University). In earlier years, she enjoyed sewing. She loved spending time on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 306 Locust Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Pastor Larry Lewis officiating.
