Richard W Pierce

Richard was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War where he served two tours. He served honorably in the Marines, achieving the rank of Corporal. He was someone who enjoyed the little things in life, whether spending time with family, Cheering on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and watching some of his favorite western shows, especially Gun Smoke.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Richard W. Pierce, II; sister, Carol Legg; sister-in-law, Margaret L. Busker; nephew, Jeffrey (Michelle) Busker; faithful companion Newman; great nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his loving wife Kathleen; brothers, George, Dale and Walter and brother-in-law, James.

Services will be held at Schoedinger Northeast 1051, East Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Ohio 43230 from 4-7pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Richard will be remembered by his Buckeyes shirt collection. The family asks those attending to please wear Ohio State Buckeye gear in Richard’s honor. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in memory of Richard.
