Rick moved to Ohio to work on the railroad. His tenure took him through New York Central, Penn Central, Conrail and CSX where he retired after 47 ½ years. While he was furloughed from the railroad he DJ’d in many of the night clubs throughout Columbus.
More than anything in the world he loved his family. For 37 years he was with the love of his life, Rhonda. Every summer he looked forward to taking his family on vacation to Myrtle Beach and staying at the Yachtsman Resort where he built relationships with the staff who created wonderful memories and who he loved dearly.
His children were the highlight of everything. He enjoyed every sport, tournament, or cheer competition he attended and would be the number one supporter in the stands or while coaching.
Going camping was his new passion where he was thrilled to enjoy his new campers to spend time with his family and friends on weekend trips, out of state adventures, or even parking it near the garage for a neighbors night in.
Seeing his grandson who he nicknamed “Yum-Yum” was the greatest part of his day, along with being the best of camping buddies whose memories will last a lifetime. His Papoo was very excited to watch him experience his new sporting adventures.
