

Robert Louis Davis, known as Bob or Bobby, was born in 1929 to Louis and Helen (Weir) Davis in Columbus, Ohio. He was the first of eight children. He married the love of his life, Sandra Marshall, in 1961. Bob has two sons, Bradley and Derek. Bob retired as a Graphic Artist from The Ohio State University Electro-Science Lab after 26 years.
Bob played football, basketball and softball as a youth and young man, often on teams comprised solely of him and his brothers. His passions were Buckeye Football, especially during the Woody Hayes era, and golfing. Bob and his brothers formed the Ledo’s Golf League and he played in it for years. Bob had a hole-in-one when he was 60 years old and golfed on his 90th birthday.
Bob was a hard-working family man, often working multiple jobs. He was extremely funny and often referred to as ornery. His granddaughter, Bailey, said he is the funniest man she knows. Bob and his family have a lifelong affiliation with 4th Avenue Christian Church where Bob was baptized as a youth.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Sandra (Marshall) Davis; sons, Bradley Davis and Derek (Jennifer) Davis; grandchildren, Bailey Davis, Clay Davis, Cory Davis, and Lyndsey Davis; brother, Jack (Doris) Davis; sisters-in-law, Connie Davis and Pam Davis, special nieces/nephew, Brenda Knight, Patty Creasap, Mickey Ryan, and Ed Flaherty; and extended family and friends.
Deceased are his parents, Louis and Helen (Weir) Davis; siblings Bill (Mattie) Davis, Glenn Davis, Jimmie (Carol) Davis, Fred (Connie) Davis, Ronald (Pam) Davis, and Shirley Chatfield.
Visitation will be held 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, Ohio, 43230 where funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
