Born on April 1, 1945, Bob was a proud U.S. Navy veteran whose earliest ambition was to serve his country. After his time in the military, he dedicated 33 years of employment to Kroger Co., where he worked in budgeting and finance and was known for his steady work ethic and reliability.
Bob was a 1963 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and attended The Ohio State University. A lifelong Ohio State Buckeye fan, Bob loved cheering on his team every season. He was also a proud member of the Capital City Corvette Club for over 30 years, where he enjoyed spending time with friends who shared his enthusiasm for cars and camaraderie.
He loved good comedy, favorite songs like “The Boxer” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Paul Simon, and the joy of family reunions. His hobbies included building model planes and cars, and he especially enjoyed traveling and seeing new places.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar “Bud” and Dorothy Keim, and his grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Keim and John and Kathleen Comey.
He is survived by his brother, David Keim; first cousins Tom and Susan Brown; second cousin Pamela Brown; close friends Carl and Linda Scott, Tracey and Natalie McCord, Jack and Leilani Minor, Bill Bonham, Albert Rivera, Anna Mathews, Barb Matzat, Beth Kenyon, Bryan Galberth, Denney Ferriel, WD Ferriel, Diane Keller, Gary Frazze, Jan and Rod Gossard, Karen Simpson, Keith Lhor, Larry Lintner, Eric Lash, Dr. Ted Fraker, Dr. Tim McMullen, Phil Bailey, Mark Thomas, George Kallal, Rick Paxton, Max Mchuta, Gail Miller and Sandy Ballenger; along with many others who were blessed to know and love him.
