
Robert, better known as Bob, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love for his family was evident in all he did. He will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the many joys he shared with those around him.
Bob spent the majority of his career working for The Columbus Dispatch, where he dedicated many years before retiring in 1996. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built throughout the years.
Outside of work, Bob enjoyed many passions. He loved working on old cars, golfing with his buddies, and spending time outdoors tending to his garden. Known for having a true green thumb, he especially enjoyed growing vegetables, and his tomato plants were famous for taking over the garden beds each summer. Bob was also a talented baseball player in his younger years and played for a minor league team in Zanesville.
Bob will be greatly missed by his loving family, including his son, Robert (Kim) Maneely Jr., grandchildren, Doug (Jessica) Maneely and Kristin (Justin) Rozek; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Griffin and Adelyn Rozek, and Asher and Cora Maneely. Bob will also be missed by his faithful companion, his dog Lexi.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay Maneely; his brother, Ronnie Maneely; and his sisters, Patricia Keck and Mary Lemon.
Bob’s family will remember him for his warmth, dedication to family, love of sports and gardening, and the many memories he created throughout his long and meaningful life.
