Bob retired from Jess Howard Electric and was a former member of the Gahanna Lion’s Club. His main passions can be summed up in 3 words: grass, tools and grandkids. He kept his lawn looking as meticulous as a golf course, enjoyed tinkering with his Craftsman tools, and would do anything for his grandkids!
He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Beverly (Jenkins) Snyder; son Michael (Agnieszka) Snyder; daughter Kathleen (Kelly) Cummings; grandchildren Alexander Snyder; Allyson, Bailey, Camryn and Blake Cummings; sisters-in-law Vi Snyder, Pat Snyder, Susan (Bruce) Collins and Pat Overfield; brothers-in-law Jack Jenkins, Jerry (Joan) Jenkins and Chuck Bridge; many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Robbie Snyder in 2000.
Visitation is scheduled for 5-7pm Wednesday, September 7th and 9:30-10:30am Thursday, September 8th, at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where a service will begin at 10:30am Thursday, with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held back at the funeral home immediately following the interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charity Newsies or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Bob’s memory.
