Ronald J. Laparo, 66, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022 following a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was born December 25, 1955 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Charles and Helen (Geary) Laparo and was also preceded in death by his brother Roger. Ron started a window and door distribution company called Northern Window and Door which later expanded into the Cleveland market as Fenestram. His love of the outdoors often took him to the Mohican area where he enjoyed hiking. He also enjoyed canoeing, fishing, range shooting and riding bikes. Family time was treasured; a time where his sense of humor and “dad jokes” evoked laughter, especially from the grandkids. He was an active member of Faith Life Church and led several small groups. His deep faith, generosity and loving spirit will live on in the hearts of all he touched here on earth. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 42 years, Karen (Hartzler) Laparo; children Michael (Jessica) Laparo, Christy (Scott) Robbins, Craig (Liz, fiancé) Laparo and Stacie Laparo; grandchildren Isabella, Nathan, Joseph, Emory, Asher, Lane, Layton and Lena. He will also be missed by extended family members, his work family and dear friends. Family will welcome friends 5-8pm Tuesday, July 19th, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 as well as Wednesday from 10-11am at FAITH LIFE CHURCH, 2407 Beech Rd. NW, New Albany, OH 43054 where his service will begin at 11am; interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may donate to Faith Life Church in Ron’s memory.
