Ronald "Dinger" Moore

Ronald “Dinger” Moore, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 85. Born in Flushing, Ohio he moved to Gahanna, Ohio after graduating high school and serving in the Army for two years from 1962-1963. He worked 37 years for Big Bear Stores/Penn Traffic and 27 years part time at The Columbus Dispatch. He loved old cars and listening to music.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald Eugene Moore and Florence Louise (Sims) Moore. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Connie (Dematte) Moore; daughters Ronda (Don) Partlow and Lisa Barwick; grandchildren Christopher (Blayke) Partlow, Kayla Partlow, Samantha (Cody) Zimmerman, great-granddaughter Sutton Zimmerman; brother Bruce Moore and sister Diane (Moore) Mason.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 9th at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, Ohio 43230 from 1-3 pm. The service will take place on Monday, February 10th at 11 am, followed by interment at Mifflin Cemetery. Reverend Laura Young, Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dinger’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association in support of his long battle with the disease.
