Sally Erlenbach

Sally Lou Erlenbach, age 94, of Gahanna, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2022. She was born on November 8, 1928 to parents Palmer and Rose Jahn of Gahanna, Ohio and was a long-time resident of New Albany and Gahanna, Ohio.

Sally was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School. She worked outside the home at Wilson Market in Gahanna prior to marrying Thad. Sally was a woman who loved life. She enjoyed the time in which her and Thad raced horses, working in her yard and was an excellent cook. She was an active member of the Moose and VFW Gahanna chapters. Sally enjoyed playing bingo, attending themed parties, and planning social events. She enjoyed shopping with family, had a purse for every outfit and was excited for an occasional stop at the casino.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Thad Erlenbach, her daughter Jan Lyons, sisters Mary Williams and Patsy Poth, and her granddaughter Deetra May. She is survived by her daughter, Tara (Bob Denton) Meyers; her grandchildren JoEllen (Ken) Rogers, Roy (Jennifer) Lyons, Dannell (Matt) Piper, Terry (Nikki) Fown and Tye (Veronica) Meyers; and her sisters, Anne O'Brien and Nancy Conroy. Sally will also be remembered by her 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and many more beloved family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 6 to 8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A funeral service will take place at 10am on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sally's name to Bing Cancer Research Center at OhioHealth.
