

Sally Settle Millard, beloved wife, mother, friend, realtor, and Bexley athletics enthusiast, passed away on January 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Bexley, Ohio. She was born on February 15, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, to Lena Todd Sheets and Clarence Settle.
Sally's life was filled with love, joy, and a deep devotion to her family, church, and community. She had a vibrant spirit that radiated kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered. Sally was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to all who knew her.
On March 19, 1955, Sally married her beloved high school sweetheart, James E. “Gene” Millard, in Dayton, Ohio. Their love story began in the 8th grade and spanned an incredible 68 years of marriage. Their relationship was filled with countless cherished memories and unwavering support for one another.
Sally was a devoted mother to her children, Todd Millard and wife Nancy Millard, Mike Millard and wife Carol Millard, and Mindy Millard Cain and fiancé Trevor Torrence. Her love and guidance shaped their lives and provided a strong foundation for their own families.
Sally was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Millard Attwood, and daughter-in-law, Susan Clark Millard. Although their absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved them, their memory will forever be cherished.
She is survived by her loving husband, James E. “Gene” Millard, and her children and their spouses. Sally's legacy extends to her grandchildren: Emily Millard, Laura Millard, Kaycie Millard Klausing and husband Justin Klausing, Abby Martin and husband Andrew Martin, Jack Rubertus and fiance Emilie Nevius, Taylor Millard, Payton Millard Steward and husband Brennan Steward, Denton Cain, Ethan Cain, and Kelsey Cain.
The love and adoration Sally had for her family were immeasurable. Her great-grandchildren, Nora Klausing, Henry Klausing, James Martin, and Kate Martin, brought her so much joy. She adored each one of them and relished in every moment spent together.
Sally's passion extended beyond her family. She was an active member of her church, community, and a dedicated realtor. Her commitment to her clients was unwavering, always going above and beyond to ensure their happiness. Sally's impact on the Bexley athletic community was profound. She cheered on every team, becoming a second mother to countless athletes throughout the years. Her kindness, compassion, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sally's memory will forever live in our hearts.
Friends and family visitation hours in honor of Sally's life will be held on January 26, 2024, from 4:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m. at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH, USA.
A private family service and burial will be held on Saturday, January 27,2024.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Bexley United Methodist Church or Bexley High School Athletic Hall of Fame in Sally's name.
