Sara D. “Sally” Rogers, age 78 of Gahanna, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, after many years with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was born on February 17, 1945 to parents Francis N. Landing and Orphia M. (Warrington) Landing in Wilmington, DE.
Sara was a graduate of Pierre S. DuPont High School in 1963, later moving to Ohio in 1965 and Gahanna in 1972. Sally retired from Columbus Colony Elderly Care after 30 years of employment.
She is preceded in death by her parents, aunt Dot Johnson, and longtime companion Ron Beers. She is survived by her son Kenneth (Jo Ellen) Rogers; daughter, Kathy Culp; grandchildren Gabrielle, Hayley, Sydney, and Megan; and several cousins.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 31, from 4pm-6pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. The service will be held at the funeral home the following morning, February 1, beginning at 11am. Services will conclude with interment at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
