

For the past two years she has resided at Our Home New Albany making many new friends and enjoying her community.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chad Hillman and Susan Gyuro, and her beloved grandson, Blake Hillman, all of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene L. and Hilda (Gamble) Geer; and by her twin sister, Sharon Geer. A graduate of Springfield North High School in 1963, she graduated from Ohio State School of Cosmetology and worked as a cosmetologist for over 40 years, primarily at JeAni Salon in Reynoldsburg. She also worked part time as a Concierge at Sunrise Senior Living of Gahanna for 20 years and very much enjoyed helping the families and residents of that community.
In addition to being a proud grandmother over Blake, never missing him in sports and scouting, she was an avid baker, and loved decorating and gardening in her own home as well as creating the seasonal décor at Sunrise while she worked there. She enjoyed hair and fashion and found great joy in her career helping make people feel good and look beautiful.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M.
