She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carmin S. Maietta, D.O., who died in 1989; and by her grandson, Alexander Gray; her uncle, Frank J. Parese; and by her brother-in-law, Edward J. Occhipinti.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patricia A. Maietta (David Shelton), The Villages, FL; Felix S. Maietta (Theresa Fera), Doylestown, PA; Carla M. Maietta-Gray (Paul Gray), Pataskala, OH; sister, Rosemarie Occhipinti, with whom she made her home in The Villages, FL; grandchildren, Alyssa and Christopher Maietta, and Daniel Gray; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her faith was very important to her. She was a founding member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, Gahanna, where she was a Collections counter, an Extraordinary Minister, as well as a volunteer for her children and grandchildren at St. Matthew School.
She loved to travel, especially enjoying trips to Italy, Holland, Nova Scotia, and Hawaii.
Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road. Rosary at 6:30 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna. Fr. Walter Tuscano, Celebrant. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens to follow.
