Shirley Piatek

Shirley A. Piatek went to Heaven to join the love of her life, Matthew J. Piatek, on March 16, 2024. Also there to greet her were her parents, Susan and Andrew Hobart, sisters Mary (Louis) Pramik, Elizabeth (Andrew) Olenik and her brother Andrew (Virginia) Hobart.

Shirley was born March 27, 1936 in Midway, Ohio, and graduated from St. Clairsville High School. She loved to cook, bake, and entertain, was an avid reader, and loved to sit at the water’s edge at the beach. The lifelong love for dogs she carried in her heart will always continue to beat.

Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed by her children, Jackie (Bob) Guisinger and Matt (Janis) Piatek, her grandchildren Katie and Jakub Piatek, her cherished nieces and nephews and her wonderful “gang” of friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. A mass will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church , 807 Havens Corners Rd, Columbus, OH 43230 on Monday, March 25th at 10:30am. . Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Union Cemetery, 211 Maple Ave, St Clairsville, OH 43950 on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 3pm.
