

She worked at the Ohio Arts Council for over 26 years and to the end spoke with love and gratitude of the people she worked for. On top of her career she was a Member Laureate Alpha Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and was a Faithful and dedicated member of Reformation Lutheran Church for over 50 years.
Susie loved gardening, birdwatching and most of all her family. She loved nothing more than her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and those she was surrogate grandma to. They will all remember her for her feisty and fun attitude.
Suanne is survived by her Brother; Bob (Andrea) Vogel, children; Children Kurt Docken and Kathy Docken Braidic, Grandchildren; Christopher (Kiki) Docken, Adam (Rosa) Docken and Ashley (Brian) Galli, Great Grandchildren; Jayli, Alyssa, Layla, Mason, Aaliyah, Owen and Evalynn.
She is preceded in death by her loving Husband Herbert Docken, Great Grand-daughter, Gracelynn Hope Docken, Mother, Margaret (nee Hanway) Vogel and Father, Elmore Vogel.
The family finds comfort knowing that Susie is now reunited and dancing with Herbie in heaven
A visitation will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church, 1355 S Hamilton Rd, Columbus, OH 43227 on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 3pm immediately followed by a memorial service at 4pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Reformation Lutheran Church.
