

Albert Eugene "Gene" Beasley, Jr. was born February 12, 1945, and was born and raised in Mount Olive, Alabama. To his family he was lovingly known as "Gene" or "PawPaw," while his friends knew him as "Egg." He was remembered as one of the most giving, caring, and kindhearted people in the lives of those who knew him.
Gene enjoyed spending his time with his friends and family, especially at the lodge. He loved playing golf with his friends and grandkids. He also enjoyed watching westerns.
Gene was actively involved with the American Legion and Eagles Lodge. He also proudly served in the U. S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
Above all, Gene will be remembered for the love and generosity he showed to others. His family and friends cherished the time they shared with him, and his memory continues to live on through the people he loved and the lives he touched.
Gene was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Beasley, and mother, Wanda Beasley. He is survived by his daughter Karry Hunnings; sons William Beasley and Chris Beasley (Melissa); and grandchildren, Kelsey Hunnings, Jake Thompson, Collin Beasley, and William Beasley.
