Anita Kay Reeves of Calera, Al born May 25, 1954 passed away in her home on Saturday March, 20th 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Portera and father, Carmellia Portera and son, Phillip J. Reeves Jr. (aka PJ). Survived by husband, Phillip J. Reeves Sr; daughter, Angela K Reeves; granddaughter, Alexis Louise Reeves; grandsons, Bruce/Mackineze Reeves, Skylar Reeves; great grandsons, Micah Hardwick Jaxon Reeves John Phillip Reeves (J.P.); Brother, Bub Portera; Sister Marion Slatton and a number of other relatives.
A visitation for Anita will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel followed by burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncreif Rd Gardendale, Al 35071.
