Ann Harvison Venable was raised in Alabama and was a graduate of Bessemer High School. Ann was successful in many roles of office clerical work and management. She was most proud of earning her pharmacy technician license.
Working in the customer care industry came naturally to Ann because she was someone who never met a stranger. She loved talking to people and sharing stories. She loved to laugh.
Ann had an adventurous spirit and was always ready to go! Her favorite place was the beach.
Spending time with loved ones is what made her happiest. She was devoted and loyal to her family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Aljoe and Evelyn Harvison; her husband, Walt Venable; close cousins; and best friend, Carol Foster.
She is survived by her brothers, Bill Harvison and Ron Harvison; her sisters, Dottie Isbell and Judy Wilkinson; her daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Raney Graves and Dwayne Graves; her son and daughter-in-law, James Keith Raney and Cassie Raney; her grandchildren Desire’, Derek, Bragan, Brynn, Addison, Avery, and great-granddaughter Mahina.
Ann was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend who always put family first. Her strength, determination, independence, and sense of humor are qualities that inspire all who knew her.
We love her. We are proud of her. We will miss her.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is a fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
