Annette Nation Brown, passed away on March 19th, 2025 at the age of 86. She was born on September 9th, 1938 in Gardendale, Alabama to Luther and Beulah Nation. She attended Mortimer Jordan High School and graduated in 1956.
Annette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Annette retired from UAB as a personal assistant to the Chair of Radiology in 2007. In retirement, Annette enjoyed working outside in her flower beds and attending church circle meetings at Gardendale Mt. Vernon.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, James C. (J.C.) Brown; and sons Greg and Kerry Brown.
Annette is survived by her granddaughter, Kaylinn Childers (Jason) and grandson, Justin Waters.
A visitation service for Annette will be held Saturday March 22nd, 2025 from 1 PM to 2 PM with service immediately following at 2 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071.
Her burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
