Allen peacefully departed from this life to his new life with the Lord on Wednesday at the age of 57. Arthur lived all of his life in Birmingham up until eight years ago when he moved to Oneonta, AL. He was a member of the Brewster Road Baptist Church and he loved the Lord greatly. He also loved to fishing and watching Alabama games.
Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Haisten and mother, Ida Hanson and a brother, Wayne Haisten. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Crawford (Tony); brothers, Tommy Haisten and Ray Hanson, Jr.; sisters, Pat Elliott (Dennis), Polly Robinson (J.R.), Brenda Poore, Susan Shelnutt (Gary) and Lillie Todd; grandchildren, Alyssa, Samantha, Joshua, Adam and Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a funeral service at 3:00pm and a visitation beginning at 2:00pm. Entombment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
