HARRISON, Avon Clayton, age 89 of Birmingham, AL passed away July 2, 2013. He was preceeded in death by his parents Ruby Wilkinson and Avon Harrison. Brothers (twin) Levon Harrison, Emmett Harrison, Elwyn Wilkinson, Donald Wilkinson, Sister Jean Johnson, and daughter Terri Whitt. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Tommie Arbuckle Harrison. Daughters Charlene (Jimmy) Sadler, Donna (Kenneth) Barnett, Joni (Champ) Goolsby. 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Pratt City Aerie #972 and a Member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6th at 1:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday, July 5th from 6 – 8 p.m.
