Barbara Lee Hughes

Barbara graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School. She worked for 22 years as a Staffing Assistant at Carraway Methodist Hospital and she retired from St. Vincent's Birmingham where she was a Unit Clerk. She was a member of North Gardendale Baptist Church and she was a member of the Eastern Star for several years. She was a loving single mother and she devoted her life to her children that she loved so dear.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Ruth Lee and she is survived by her son and daughter, Glen Hughes and Lynan Hughes; two brothers, Grady Windfield Hughes (Sharon) and Jonathan Wallace Lee (Jane), many nieces, and nephews.

Services for Barbara will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL, with a time of visitation to begin at 10:00 AM; funeral service at 11:00 AM, followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
