Benjamin R. Reese

Benjamin Russell Reese, a resident of Hayden, AL, was born on January 9, 1961 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 6, 2016 at the age of 55. Ben was a graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School and he worked in the construction industry for several years before he joined the team of Firestone Complete Auto Care in Gardendale where he has worked for the past 19 years and he felt that his customers were his purpose. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father to his children and enjoyed the time he spent with them.

Ben was preceded in death by his father, William F. Reese, Jr; mother, Lovella C. Reese; brothers, Brian T. Reese and Robert B. Reese.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Debra Capps Reese; sons, David Daniel Dillard and Jordan Casaday; daughters, Lacey Paige Waites, Melissa Waites Casaday, and April Huey; brothers, William F. Reese, Bradford E. Reese, and E. Bruce Reese; sister, Goldie Lanette Ortiz; grandchildren, Izabelle Grace Casaday and Anabelle Sofia Casaday; his uncle, Earl Cooper (Virginia), nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Sunday, July 10th, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm; funeral service, Monday, June 11th, at 11:00am, followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
