Betty G Allen

Betty Allen passed peacefully into her heavenly home, leaving behind her devoted children: Paul Andrew Allen (Renee) and Kelly Allen Crane (Matt). She is also survived by four grand-children: Casey Allen, Meagan Crane Dye (Matthew), Cody Allen (Meagan), and A.J. Crane (Jordan), and also a niece, Linda Sadler Sparks (David). Her great grandchildren are: Jayden Allen, Grayson Allen, Miller Dye, Paisley Allen, and Baker Crane. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Paul Edward “Laney” Allen; Parents: George O. Smith and Violet B. Whorton Smith; Sister: Mary Lucille Smith Sadler, and nephew James O. Sadler (Charlene). Betty was a remarkable 43-year employee of L.M. Berry (Yellow Pages) and a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She loved to read, work in her yard, and was always up for a trip. Betty was dearly loved and will be deeply missed until we are reunited in eternity with her. A graveside service for Betty will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3115 18th Ave North, Bessemer, AL 35020.
