Betty was born in Birmingham, AL and a current resident of Hoover, passed away Thursday at the age of 81. She retired from Lawyer and Title Co. Betty was a loving mother, sister and friend to all.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Louise Clayton; husband, William T. Carter, Jr.; son, Michael Carter and a sister, Jackie L. Cowgill. She is survived by her son, William T. Carter, III; brother, Ben L. Clayton, III; sister, Mary Jo Wallis (Rex).
A service will be held in The Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel on Monday, Jan. 13 at 11:00 AM with entombment to follow.
