Key, Betty Jane Pate, age 72 of Gardendale, AL passed away on December 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes Marie Pate and Donald Gary Pate. Betty attended Gardendale's First Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include her husband, Charles Raymond Key; daughter, Tammy Smith (Charles); son, James Logan Key; granddaughters, Ashley Smith and Amber Smith; great granddaughter, Hannah Melcher; and her brothers, Phillip Wayne, Donald Gary and Kenneth Andrew Pate. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with burial to follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel directing.
