Betty Lindsey

Betty Rose Lindsey, age 84 was born November 15, 1931 in Lynn, AL and passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She was a resident of Gardendale for nearly 60 years and was a member of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Edward Lindsey; parents, Earnest and Mantie Pendley; brother, Ralph Pendley and a sister, Edith Bremmerman. She is survived by a son, Timothy Lindsey (Debbie); and her daughter, Kathy Kviz (Steve); a brother, Gene Pendley and sister, Barbara Awtrey; her grandchildren, Jason Barton (Trina), Jennifer Dean (Patrick), Tiffany Fredrick, and Erika Lindsey; great grandchildren, Atticus and Dashel Barton, Jacob and Emma Dean, Jackson Holland, Brittany Weatherford, and Drew Fredrick.

Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 3 pm with visitation beginning at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Awtrey will officiate.
