Betty L. Rascoe

2020. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Rascoe, “Junior” and her

parents, Samuel Clinton Maynard and Maude Maynard. She is survived by her

children Mrs. Veronica Dobson (Bob) Knoxville, TN, Mrs. Dedria Johnston (Dennis)

Fultondale, AL , Mrs. Missy Presley (Ricky) Oneonta, AL and Mr. Clint Rascoe (Melisa)

Fultondale, AL; her brother Clifford Maynard, Sparta, TN. Grandchildren: Frazer

Dobson (Sally), Rob Dobson (Sally) Jeremy Sanders (Carla), Amy Dobson (Ryan),

Jamie Sanders (Vince), Mallory Presley (Bobby), Aaron Presley (Catey), Monica Rascoe,

Alex Johnston (Rachel), Maria Rascoe (TD), Steven Lindsey (Allie), BreAnna Lindsey,

Morgan Rascoe, and Brooke Lindsey. Great Grandchildren: Samantha Chappell, Haley

Dobson, Bentley Barnett, Cooper Barnett, Abigail Chappell, Brodie Sanders, Mason

Rascoe, Charlotte Presley and Ryker Murphree. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were in school and she kept busy as a

seamstress. She made many uniforms for the cheerleaders and bands in and around

the Birmingham area. She loved all sports and was her kids and grandkids biggest

fan! For many years she could be found at the bowling alley, Bingo Hall or sitting

behind a slot machine when she wasn’t at the ballpark. She was also famous for

baking cakes and sharing them with the faculty at Fultondale High .

There will be a private family graveside on Friday and a memorial to be set at a later date.
