Betty Alice Roberts, age 71 of Pinson passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012. She was a member of Pinson United Methodist Church, a 1959 graduate of Tarrant High School and University of Alabama at Birmingham. Betty was a special education teacher for 25 years and the last 15 years at Sun Valley Elementary. She was preceded in death by her parents: William Benjamin and Beatrice Caver Harrell and brothers, William Broadus and David Best Harrell. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Wade Roberts, Sr.; sons: Kenneth Wade Roberts, Jr. (Polly) and Gregory Scott Roberts; daughter, Teresa Renea Roberts Aultman (Jerry); grandsons: Jarrod, Brody and Brandt Roberts, Will and Pierce Aultman; sister, Lucille Martin and brother, Avery Harrell. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, May 25, 2012 at Pinson United Methodist Church with burial in Marvin’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
