Rooks, Betty Jane McClanahan, age 81, was born on July 5, 1931 in Vinemont, AL and passed away to be with her Lord on Monday, December 31, 2012. She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 62 years and the love of her life, Craford Rooks; a loving mother of two; a son, Craford Dexter Rooks (Wanda Brooks Rooks); and her daughter, Dottie Dale Rooks Tucker; a grandson, Brandon Charles Tucker and a granddaughter, Shandie Roeshell Summerford (Adam Clay Summerford). She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4th at the fiuneral home at 11 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Vinemont, AL with a graveside service beginning at 1 pm.
