Betty Jean Savage

Betty Jean Savage, age 78 of Morris, AL passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Savage was a member of Kimberly Church of God for more than 46 years and retired from the Jefferson County School Board. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Howard I. Savage; brothers, J.B. Blair and Lamar Blair; a sister, Mable Cooper. She is survived by her children, Eddie Thrailkill (Darlene), Earl Thrailkill (Robin B.), Joseph Thrailkill (Robin S.), Angela Dubin (Ron), and Kathy Burgett (David); grandchildren, Brent Aycock, Wesley Aycock, John Burgett, Kevin Burgett, Alicia Burgett, Joshua Thrailkill, Olivia Belcher, Faith Smith, Justin Murphree, Evan Thrailkill, and Grant Thrailkill; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, James Blair; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 to 8 PM followed by Chapel services on Wednesday beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial gardens in Gardendale. Rev Stan Cooke will officiate services.
