Betty Kimsey Woodard

Betty was a graduate of Banks High School and received a Bachelor degree from UAB and was a substitute teacher with the Jefferson County Board of Education for 10 years and was a caregiver for her mother-in-law, Imogene Woodard for several years.

Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend and her passion in life was taking care of her family whom she loved so dear.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Louise Kimsey. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Doug Woodard; one daughter, Lisa Woodard; one sister, Deborah Kimsey; one brother, Ben Kimsey; one niece, Denise Woodard; one nephew, Christopher Woodard, and many friends.

A visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.

Betty will be laid to rest in Liberty Baptist Cemetery, 3724 Co Road 40, Arley, AL 35541.
