Rest in piece my good friend Billy.  We will never forget the good times.

Was sorry to hear of Billy's passing.  He was a classmate at Lanett High School,  Class of '63.......I had not seen him since our 10th High School reunion in 1973.

Just the other day I found anI.D. bracelet with our names on it that Billy had given me in high school.  Am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I have fond memories of our time together. Unfortunately, I had not seen him since high school.  My prayers are with the family.

Haven't seen Billy since high school. We competed in recreational football and basketball. Visited his home once when a teenager. He was two years older than me, so he always had the better hand over me. Praying for Cathy and other family and friends. May God of all comfort be with each of in your hour of grief and the loneliness that may follow. Your friend in Christ. Gene Maddux

I am an old friend from Lanett. We were all good friends growing up, all the way through high school. I'm sorry I haven't seen him in so long. Several years ago, I attended City Stages. I called him and we had a long phone visit. My thoughts are with his family.

I have not seen Billy since our tenth year class reunion. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. We attended Hughley School and Lavett High School together. Our 4th grade teacher taught us how to knit. I remember his knitting his mom a handbag and knitting himself a toboggan. I have thought of him through the years and tried to keep up with him through mutual friends. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

I will always remember Billy McKay. Cathy prayers are going your way In the loss of your dad.

Billy was and always will be my most beloved and favorite Uncle. He was hilarious. When he and my daddy, Ron Johnson, got together, they reminded me of the Odd Couple. They would bicker and fight but they did it in a way, that just made you sit back and laugh. When I read "avid" Alabama fan, I chuckled. That only scratches the surface of the kind of fan he was. He told me a couple of years ago that his Alabama collection was the second largest in the U.S., now I don't know if that was the truth or he was pulling my leg but I certainly believe it.  His basement Alabama man cave, was the place to be on a Saturday, in the fall. He would do anything for anyone. He was stubborn as a mule and would tell you exactly what he thought about you in a second. He always called me "Sug" for as long as I can remember and I loved the way it made me feel. He touched so many lives. My oldest daughter had only met him a handful of times in her life and only when she was a baby and wouldn't remember him. I brought her to stay with him a couple of years ago and they had an immediate connection. She has asked about him since. It broke her heart when I told her the news of his passing. He just had that kind of affect on people.  As much as I would love to see him smile and laugh again, I cannot be selfish because I am thankful of two things; I am thankful he is with his daughter and my cousin, Kathy, and I am thankful, he is no longer in pain.  I love you Uncle Billy and I will see you someday again.

I haven't seen Billy in a while but he was A LOT OF fun.  So sorry P.A.
