Born April 13, 1928, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Marie worked for Jefferson County and Whole Proof Hosiery in Cullman. She was an active member of Pineywood Baptist Church, a loving mother, faithful wife, and outstanding mawmaw. Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Tatum; and her grandson, Michael Wallace. She is survived by her loving husband for over 65 years, Thurman Dial; her sister, Christine Thornton of MI; 3 sons: Thomas Dial (Lucy), David Dial, and Dale Dial; 4 daughters: Aquila Branham (David), Pat Crowder (Richard), Beth Wallace, and Sheila Carson (Mike); 5 grandsons; 9 granddaughters; 19 great grandchildren with 1 due in September; 2 sister-in-laws: Jo McGriff and Sarah Stewart; her brother-in-law, Pierce Dial; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held at Pineywood Baptist Church on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM and burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
