Bobby N. Harding, age 87 of Birmingham passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016. Bobby retired from the Birmingham News, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawton Harding and his sister, Marie Williams. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Doris Harding; sons, Ron Harding (Sharon) and David Harding (Debbie); daughters, Shelia Harding and Lori James (Lee); brother, Charles Harding and sisters, Margaret Dillinger and Irene Sirratt; his grandchildren, Layla Brown (Adam), Aja Ralph (Brian), Ali McMenamin (Rob), Adam Harding (Sarah), Shane Harding, Will James, Shannon Mathis (James), and Abigale James; great grandchildren, Alayna Brown, Seth Brown, Ezra Brown, Farrah Brown, Jude Brown, Abel Brown, Gavin Ralph, and Eli Ralph.
Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
