

A proud graduate of Minor High School, Carol was an avid athlete, excelling in basketball, volleyball, and track. Her vibrant personality and infectious joy made her the person everyone wanted to be around. Carol was a cherished member of Solid Rock Church, where her faith and love for others shone brightly.
Known for her heart of gold, Carol was a beacon of kindness and generosity. She opened her home to those in need and filled it with warmth and love. Her passions included tending to her beautiful flower gardens, shopping, and enjoying trips to the beach and mountains with her sisters and her children. Carol's family gatherings were marked by her delightful cooking, especially her famous chocolate lava cakes and punch.
Carol is remembered for her boundless love, her caring nature, and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty one years, Mike Beavers; her parents, Robert Popham and Faye Griner. Her brothers Bobby Popham and Jeff Griner. Her granddaughter Krysten Murphy and her great grandsons, Mark Miller and Waylon Murphy.
Carol is survived by her son, Michael Geesling (Jamie), her daughters, Sheri McNamara (John), and Shelley Murphy (JR). Her grandchildren David Murphy (Bethany), Keely Geesling, Hunter Reno, Conner Reno, Savannah Reno, Legend McNamara, Legacy McNamara, and Autumn McNamara. Her great grandkids, Athena Reno, Allison Murphy, Tommy Murphy, Kacey Walker, Neeliegh Reno, Sophia Murphy, and Kalli Walker. Her sisters Cheryl White (Anthony), Beverly Payne, and Terri Boley (Don). Her brother Jerry Griner and a host of extended relatives.
She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy and love she brought into the world.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:30 10:30 am at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10:30 am. Carol will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Griner, Matt McKenzie, Steven McKenzie, Conner Reno, Hunter Reno, and David Murphy.
