She is survived by her children, Robert “Bobby” Matthews (Tonia) and Teresa Matthews; grandchildren, Trevor (Breanna), Raven, Kyle (Katherine), Jacob and Donald “DJ”; great grandchildren, Kayden and Owen. She is also survived by her 90 year old brother, Wayne Trull (Donna); 4 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; many great-great grand nieces and nephews along by dogs, Chewy and Hennie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oneal and Aurilla Trull and granddaughter, Amanda Matthews.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Carolyn will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071-2374.
