Born on June 28, 1938, in Honolulu, HI to Lt. Col. Arthor Layton Cobb and Frances Mayfield Bealle, she traveled around the globe as a “military brat” (her words). Carol is preceded in death by her father and mother and her sister Susie Ozley. She is survived by daughters Beth Ann McKee, Nancy McKee Wilson (Thurman), and her brother Ty Cobb as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carol was a loving mother to daughters Beth Ann and Nancy McKee. Carol’s family attended Woodlawn High School and worked most of her career in public service for the United States Postal Service, until her retirement. She loved dogs, especially her beloved Duke; she loved to read, spend time with friends, family and travel. Her favorite place to travel was Alaska, which she consistently reminisced as the most beautiful place she had been.
The family wishes to acknowledge Infinity Hospice and Carol’s care team for their loving attention.
A private service will be held at a later date.
