Charles Mitchell Burkett

Mr. Burket was a 25 year veteran of the US Navy and the US Air Force where he proudly served our country. He was the Principal od Corner Schoolfor seventeen years. He was loved and adored by his friends and family and he never met a stranger.

Mr. Burkett was preceded in death by his parents, Bascomb Burkett and Della Burkett; his loving wife of 21 years, Donna Burkett; a son, Richard Burkett and several siblings.

Mr. Burkett is survived buy his son, Mike Burkett (Peggy); a brother, James Burkett (Linda); a step daughter, Lori Abbett (Scotty); their children, Mason Abbopt (Shelby) and Jake Abbott (Abi) and a great granddaughter, Hallie.

Celebration of Life services for Charles will be held at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 2427 Corner Rd, Warrior, AL 35180. A time of visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM, followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
