Charles Thomas Marlin

Tommy is survived by his children, Charles Thomas, Jr. (Jeanine Marlin), Kevin Ray (Renee Tucker), Ronald Dalton, Destiny Hope Marlin; his stepdaughter, Hali (Ryan) Lane; his sister, Judy York; and his special friend and ex-wife, Brenda Martin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katie Marlin (Jarred Fields), Brianna Martin, Taylon (Blake) Miller, Alex Marlin, Brentley, Skylar, Levi, and Adellyn Lane; and his great-grandchildren, Brodie Martin, Taytum Fields, Jaxxson Martin, and Lainey Martin; as well as many other beloved family members and friends, also Kelly Marlin.

Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Alvis Marlin; his mother, Katherine Marlin; his brothers, Alvis, John, Richard, and Jerry; and his sisters, Betty Huey and Janice Ray.

In his younger years, Tommy began his career with Grinnell Pipe, R.C. Cola, and Birmingham Beverage, eventually moving on to Safety-Kleen.

Tommy was one of the Alabama Crimson Tide's biggest fans. In his younger years, he coached his sons' Little League teams and enjoyed playing ball with a traveling softball league. He also had a love for deer hunting.

Tommy's life will be remembered by those who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama 35071, on August 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
