Christy Crutchfield

Christy was born on September 23, 1976 to Donald G. Crutchfield and Nina E. Wright (Wells) in Birmingham, Alabama.

Christy was a loving daughter, sister, grand-daughter, aunt, mother and friend. To those who knew her-she will be remembered for her infectious smile, and the unconditional love and friendship that she shared with so many; her kindness, warmth, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Christy is survived by her daughter, Devyn F. Coar; sister, Wendy L. Kirkland (Derek); father, Donald G. Crutchfield; mother, Nina E. Wright; grandmother, Nell D. Nichols; grandfather, Horace J. Crutchfield; uncle, Ronald C. Crutchfield (Riva); and, Sandra C. Jacks (Terry); uncle, Timothy H. Crutchfield (Rachel); aunt, Kay E. Wells; nephew, Chris D. Seagle (Lindley); niece, Caitlin B. Kirklin; and niece Chloe N. Kirklin.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Raymond H. Wells; grandmother, Charlene B. Crutchfield; and Chinyelu Coar, father of daughter, Devyn.

A time of reflection visitation for Christy will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life memorial will occur Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A cremation will occur. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
