Clara Hill

Clara J. McPherson Hill passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at her home in Gardendale. Clara proudly held her church membership at New Castle United Methodist Church where she had many family and friends that she dearly loved. Also, she was a Gold Star Mother, a member of the Eastern Star Chapter no3, a Vietnam Auxillary member 416, VFW Post 668, Ladies Auxillary and American Legion Post 171.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Hill, Sr.; her sons, Thomas Hill, Jr. and James Hill; Tammy Alford (Joey) and her great grandson, Joshua Ray Templeton.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Watson (Gerald); her grandchildren, Teresa Barnett (Perry), Terri McCallie (Jed), Malinda Hill (Kelley), Matthew Hill (Misty), Tiffany Goggins (Todd), Jessica Alford Cobb(Blake, Jamie Alford Reid (Dalton), Coti Herman and Chandler Herman; and her sister-in-law, Shelley Hill.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Comfort Home Care and the hospice workers who cared for their loving mother.

Services will be private for the family at this time. A celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
