A gathering of family and friends will be held on February 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL. Graveside Service will be held on February 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL.
Ray is retired from Jefferson County Environmental Services after 35 years of service. He also served as a Methodist pastor for many years. He loved watching football, (Roll Tide) and loved spending time with family.
Ray is survived by his wife Linda Barber, his son Jason Barber, his step daughter Deborah Smith, step son, Jonathan McCary, his sisters, Doris Kirkwood, (Walter R.) and Diane McCay (Billy) and several nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his daughter Frances Michelle Barber and his mom and dad, Clarence and Minnie Lou Barber.
Ray will be honored on February 16th at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.
